THE PROCESS OF A BACK FACIAL A back facial starts with steam,thorough cleansing to remove any dirt, oil, and impurities from the surface of the skin.This step helps to prepare the skin for the following treatments. Next,exfoliation is performed to slough off dead skin cells and promote cell turnover. After exfoliation, extractions may be performed to remove any stubborn blackheads or whiteheads.(This step requires skill and should be done by an esthetician to avoid causing damage to the skin. (Extractions if any extra are $35.00) After cleansing, exfoliation, and extractions, a customized clay mask is applied to the back. Clay masks are beneficial for the skin as they help to draw out impurities,absorb excess oil,and tighten pores.The specific type of clay used in the mask may vary depending on your skin type and concerns.The mask is left on for a designated period of time to allow the clay to work its magic.
